This election - what has happened?

This election - what has happened?

Today, there are new statistics. Before we get to them, I want to briefly say something about what we must do in the next three weeks to ensure a victory for the Conservative and for right tracking our country!

In 25 days, we will send a message to the White House, to the Congress, the Senate, each State House and Governor’s offices across the land. The message will be sent to those who lose and, more importantly, to those who win. The losers will be sent to the dust bin of history. The winners will be elevated as conquering heroes. The only hero here will be the voter and the country at large.

Victory will come in the form of winning in 25 days, but it will be in the form of restoration. It will be the beginning of great pride and the beginning of a great story that started over 250 years ago, when Washington and Adams spoke. It will mirror the days when Jefferson took pen to paper and when all the patriots signed the Declaration of Independence and finally, the Constitution.

You might ask how this election can be compared to the days of our founding. It can’t, but it does give thought as to why our forefathers reserved the right, Constitutionally, to change the country through our vote or through amendment.

Yesterday, I wrote about preserving principles. This election will be the election that preserves the ideals and principles that were laid out in the founding documents. This election will begin to bring the founding principles into our public discourse. This election is the only way we can start to repeal some of the damaging legislation that has threatened the health of our nation.

This election will not be the end. It is only the beginning of an ongoing revolution that started with a few men recognizing what liberty is and what tyranny is. This election will not be the end. It is only the beginning of a few men and women that have been brave enough to start talking about and writing about liberty and tyranny. This election will not be the end, but the beginning of a renewed spirit that has been dormant for nearly a generation.

This election will pave the way for a continued renewal of thoughts and ideas that were expressed to the world through documents that changed history. This election is just that important.

Jefferson wrote to James Madison in 1787: “I hold it that a little rebellion, now and then, is a good thing, and as necessary in the political world as storms are in the physical. Unsuccessful rebellion, indeed, generally establish the encroachments on the rights of the people, which have produced them. An observation of this truth should render honest republican governors so mild in their punishment of rebellions, as not to discourage them too much. It is medicine necessary for the sound health of government.”

Jefferson said it best in a letter to John Adams, 1821: "I will not believe our labors are lost. I shall not die without a hope that light and liberty are on steady advance."

Great things did not happen in the last four years. What did happen is that a nation woke up to the evils of what government can do, when it becomes to powerful and goes unchecked. It woke up a nation to the fact that 20% of its inhabitants have taken away the rights of the majority so that a few can access those rights without participation in the formula for liberty and freedom.

The new statistics that I referred to earlier backs up today’s FORUM.

According to Gallup the mix of the electorate has moved dramatically to the right. The statistics now show that Liberals are in the minority.

2008 2010
CONSERVATIVES 37% 42%
MODERATES 37% 35%
LIBERALS 22% 20%

The compellation of numbers clearly demonstrates where the likely voter identifies itself in the upcoming election. The compellation of these numbers tell me that there are voters who are willing to change the course of this government.

These are the numbers and the only way to make the numbers speak is to identify yourself on election day. I wrote last week about choice. It is up to you to ensure a victory. The numbers demonstrate where the electorate is moving. To make this a reality it takes votes. To ensure a conservative victory it will take all of us going to the polls and making sure our friends get there as well.

As I do each week, I end with a quote. This is a quote that you might not have seen before. I think it says it all. I think it says it better than I ever could.
Thomas Jefferson: written note in Montesquieu’s Spirit of the Laws: “[It is] by their votes the people exercise their sovereignty.”
Gregory C. Dildilian

A footnote: In 25 days our conservative values could become main stream by a simple vote! In 25 days our desire of conservative values may start us back on the road to personal sovereignty!
