A complicated mess!
The market sunk another 500 points yesterday, which was the 9th worst day on record. The other world markets tanked yesterday amid fearful and complicated economic predictions.
The market is zig – zagging, because it is volatile and investors, along with traders, feel it. There is no confidence and there is little that this administration can do, because they do not know what to do to cure the economy. The traders on Wall Street do not look at the long term. They look day to day and react to the news on a day to day basis. The traders are doing their job.
But who are the ones that aren’t doing their job? Every morning I wake up, take a pill, have a cup of coffee, walk the dog and leave for work. I am sure that millions of other people do the same, not necessarily in that order, but at some point they leave to do a day’s work as well. If you are unemployed, I am sure you have the same regime, except going to work. But you none the less look for work!
It becomes a complicated mess when we do our respective jobs on a daily basis and we suffer for it. It becomes a complicated mess when we do our jobs and the public union workers do theirs with scheduled breaks, scheduled holidays and work rules that would put a private sector business out of business. We go to work and hope that our 401(k), Roth’s and our other investments grow. Others go to work with the knowledge that their public sector pensions will not be affected by this complicated mess that our economy cannot seem to get out of. However, those who work in the private sector and those who are out of work in the private sector still have to pay the salaries the benefits and invest in the union workers pension, so when they retire it is there, unaffected by the complicated mess that our government and the unions have caused.
It becomes a complicated mess when riots in London have consumed that city with fire and with looters who think they are entitled to everything under the sun. It becomes a complicated mess when these rioters are on average 18 to 20 years of age. These rioters want a cradle to grave society with guarantees of government sponsored programs that pays for housing, education, healthcare and food. In short, they believe they are entitled to have a part of somebody else’s wealth.
It becomes a complicated mess when 50% of Americans in this country don’t pay income taxes and 15% of Americans are on food stamps. We are not rioting yet, but there are a significant portion of Americans who would riot, if they got the chance.
Yesterday, in Wisconsin the Public Sector Unions, Auto Worker Unions, the SEIU, along with a multitude of other Unions spent 35 million dollars in an ill fated recall campaign of Republican Senators. The Republicans were targeted by the democrats and the union’s when a Republican Governor Scott Walker enacted the reforms that he was elected to do. The Unions took Democracy out of the voter’s hands and gave it to the Union Bosses who don’t believe in the Democracy that our fore father said was ours. They striped the notion of the will of the people and changed it to the will of the Union’s over the will of the people. There is no doubt in my mind that the unions and the Democratic Party are conspiring together in this movement to take the will of the people out of the public arena.
This becomes a complicated mess when our liberties and freedoms are affected when a major political party of the government teams up with the Unions. How can we move ahead with democracy when a small group can simply recall a politician while being supported by the unions and a major political party because they don’t like the outcome of an election?
It becomes a complicated mess for the Unions when the recall campaign didn’t recall the amount of senators that was needed to give back the Unions control through the Democrat party. It becomes a complicated mess for them when they lost 35 million dollars of dues that could have gone to pay for something a little bit more useful. My question is why don’t the union members complain or why don’t those who want a free ride complain that the loss occurred? One reason, it doesn’t dawn on them and the second reason is intimidation and the third they are just plain stupid to keep going along with the scam of taking dues.
There are a number of other recall campaigns across the country that is designed to take the power away from the voters. It becomes a complicated mess when Americans now see what the extreme left will do to gain control. It becomes a complicated mess when the common voter, who knows what is right, cannot be guaranteed that their vote will be the one that is listened to, because some Union wants to discount that voice and that vote.
All this complication is a result of an ideology and a belief in big government and big government programs. The world’s big banks are now out of money, because of the liberal belief in no responsibility on the part of the consumer to pay back loans. The world’s financial systems are stressed because of the liberal belief of redistribution and punishing those who are successful.
Many of the looters in London and many of the liberal youth here in this country are saying one thing. It is the rich that have caused the imbalance in society and in the financial circles that are in stress. These people are not born with this thought in mind. However, they have been encouraged by those who believe in the redistributive model that has proven to be flawed. It becomes a complicated mess when you want to ignore these people but can’t, because of the pervasive behavior of some that pray on those who don’t know better.
It becomes a complicated mess when the leader of the free world is “economically unsophisticated” and the followers of his ideology are socially unsophisticated. It becomes a complicated mess when the Secretary of the Treasury is powerless to do anything right, because he is now forced to carry the presidents water not to mention his baggage.
It becomes a complicated mess whenever the president opens his unsophisticated mouth that the markets react by tanking. It becomes a complicated mess when the president takes the biggest corporate jet, Air Force One, on a vacation after he complains about business owners taking their own jets on trips to do business that will generate wealth and jobs. It doesn’t become a complicated mess that the economic roller coaster will take a break zig-zagging, because the president is out of town on vacation and will not be saying a word. This is probably the best thing the man can do for his country right now. However, it will become a complicated mess again when he gets back to the Oval Office and speaks again, knowing that his words will cause complication for everyone once again. Take a break next week, because the president is.

A footnote: The simple cure for this complicated mess is just simple words that convey one message. We are out of money, we cannot continue to pay for your free life style, and you have to grow up and get a job and earn your own money now. Some times this advice is given to a lazy spoiled child, and when it is given and the lazy child is kicked out onto the streets, guess what, they wise up. They get a job and realize that this is true independence. Independence is not a complicated mess. It only becomes a complicated mess when people don’t do
a thing to encourage it.
Oh I forgot one other thing when an “economically unsophisticated” President cannot create a plan to move an economy forward and create jobs no one can be independent.
