Eluding the question:

Eluding the question:

As we prepare to begin the debate over the budget and another continuing resolution to extend funding to run the government, more things are coming to light on just how much of our money is going toward needless government spending.

The Democrats wrote into the healthcare bill, and the subsequent appropriations, over one hundred and fifty billion unknown dollars to be spent thru 2019. While the Republicans want to defund the healthcare bill in hopes of killing it, they can’t. The law is written to prohibit those efforts. The law is written in such a way that it will extend additional funds that can not be given back to the tax payer. Even if the Health care law is defunded, or better yet repealed, the money will still go toward implementing the law in future years. This is all being done through creative math and eluding the American people on the facts.

There is also another five hundred billion dollars that has been double counted to fund the healthcare plan and to fund Medicare. In other words, the administration is saying that with Obamacare, the cost of Medicare would be funded. They also say that the five hundred billion dollars would go to fund Obamacare. They are, in essence, double dipping. This is very complicated, because we are dealing with varying time lines and varying cost structures. The affordable care act or Obamacare, as it is known, has already cost the tax payer, before it has been implemented. It undermines all financing of the program, because you cannot use this money simultaneously. This double talk and the double accounting practices will not reduce the federal deficit as promised. It will grow it and it will add another layer of government into our lives. Just as our young president promised, that the stimulus would curb unemployment and create jobs we have seen just the opposite.

Congresswoman Michelle Bachman is quoted as saying that our government is now a “gangster government”. The way the government has propagated it’s spending on each citizen is a crime against democracy. The spending limits on the healthcare bill were passed without the final numbers and the final cost projections being known. They have once again eluded the American people of the facts.

If we, as private citizens, went to private investors and sold a program of this type with the double accounting that the government has done we would be jailed for fraud. When gangsters are caught they do go to jail, except those in government and those who hold office. Kathleen Sebelius, Secretary of Health and Human Services, admitted to this type of accounting when pressed in a Congressional hearing. She also said that the deficit will not come down as a result of this accounting.

I made a statement yesterday. If you were our enemy what would you be doing? Our country is viewed by our enemies as morally and financially bankrupt. Our country is viewed as the great Satan by an enemy who has vowed to destroy the western way of life.

We need to ask ourselves some very basic questions. They are:

What role does the national debt play in our lives?
What does self government mean in our lives?
What role does the government play in our lives?
What are the steps needed to balance the budget so that prosperity for our posterity can occur?
Can we afford four more years of the young presidents eluding of the facts and of the truth?

The Republicans in the House and the Senate must stand firm on their budget reductions and start to answer these questions. The Republicans should force a government shutdown if necessary if a budget can’t be agreed to. They should be demanding that the President and the Senate agree to balance the budget now or the government will shut down and it will be their fault. The Republicans can explain to the voter that the government will operate with essential services only and that Social Security checks will be mailed. They should demand that all unnecessary spending end for an unspecified period of time. They should demand an audit of every government program and its impact on every citizen including all entitlements. The Republicans should be saying there can be no more eluding the American people on these topics. The Republicans have the facts they have the ammo and they can get the support of voting Americans if they ask for it. They should be reminded of what the November elections were all about.

While these questions still elude some Americans the Obama government is still pushing ahead as they still elude the constitution and as they still elude the voter with spending and governments encroachment into our lives.

It is now a question of security in the foundation of our system of government and our security as a leader of the free world.

As tax payers, we can no longer elude the question of the theft of our financial resources and the theft of our liberty through diminishing freedoms, because of this young president and his government.

A foot note: You can find the definition of the word elude in the dictionary. You can also see the word on display because the government is providing the example of the definition.
