Save your Country!

While Hugo Chavez and Mahmoud Ahmadinejad are making nice with each other, our President is in the fight for political survival. Chavez and Ahmadinejad are celebrating trade agreements, oil and gas deals and, yes, nuclear technology. Russia has entered into a deal with Chavez to build that country’s first nuclear reactor and Iran is helping with the technology exchange.

Chavez and Ahmadinejad are giving speeches denouncing American Imperialism, and America’s connections world wide to impeded independence of the Venezuelan and Iranian people. Chavez was quoted as saying “they (America) will not stop us.

Chavez and Ahmadinejad are meeting with Syrian and Libyan officials over gas and trade treaties. They will also talk about nuclear power and the exchange of technology to create nuclear weapons. Some might call this a conspiracy theory, some might call this an alarmist view of the world and some might say this will never happen.

Well, it has happened. Iran has the technology, Russia has the means and Chavez has the motive. These leaders are not interested in saving America, because they think America cannot be saved because Americans don’t want to save it, especially the President!

The perspective that our enemies have of this country that it is a country that no longer on the rise. The perspective that our enemies have of our country is one that has become weak, because we are now dependant on our government. Gone are the days of the cowboy. Gone are the days of the actor who became a leader that brought another country down on its knees. Gone are the days when Americans were truly American and who wanted to roll up their sleeves and fix what was wrong, no matter what the challenge was. The perspective our enemies have of this country is not one of rockets being sent to the moon or of great books and art being created. Their perspective is one of tattered pages and rusting silos.

Twenty five years ago, our perspective of the Soviet Union was just that. Twenty five years ago, our perspective of the Southern Hemisphere was one of low technology and low income. Our perspective twenty five years ago of the Middle Eastern countries was one of containment and nomadic tribes.

The enemies of America are astute and they are watching. They are watching the next 13 days through the eyes of self interest and the eyes of victory. They are watching a young president talk the talk, but unable to walk the walk. Walking the walk is more important to them than the talk.

While these enemies are conspiring to thwart any attempt that the U.S. might employ to bring them down, they are celebrating the perceived take down of the country through our own internal devices.

What we do not realize is that Iran, Venezuela, Syria, Libya and Russia are not democracies, nor are they free. They are ruled by rulers and not governed by the governed. They do not embrace free enterprise and capitalism so the incentive to save this country is non existent. This is why it is incumbent upon us to save our country.

Yesterday, our enemies saw the Dow drop165 points. Yesterday, our enemies saw ridiculous chatter from ridiculous candidates running for the governor’s office in New York. Yesterday, our enemies saw two candidates discuss the Constitution with little accuracy attached to their definitions. This is the perspective that our enemies have of you and me. This perspective scares me to death, because I do not want to be represented by a political party that calls itself “the rent is too high”, or a party that call themselves the Green Party. I think you get the point. Save your country by voting for some sanity.

The election on November 2 will be watched the world over. It will be watched to see who takes control of the House and it will be watched to see if the Senate falls. It will be watched to see who takes control of the State Houses and it will be watched to gauge just how much change Americans really want.

This is why it isso important for you to save your country on November 2. The candidates might not be the best, but they are far better than the current office holders, like Boxer, Reid, Pelosi and Frank. I think you get the picture.

If your vote is the one that changes the perception of Chavez, Ahmadinejad, and Putin then that is the perspective they will see. They will realize that you want to save America and that will be enough.

A footnote: Kennedy said: “Let every nation know, whether it wishes us well or ill, that we shall pay any price, bear any burden, meet any hardship, support any friend, oppose any foe to assure the survival and success of liberty.” This is the message that we need to send on November 2nd regardless of who wins.
