Cement Shoes

Today on the Forum at http://www.pineconeconservatives.org/ I wrote about the government giving us a one size fits all approach to Health Care, when a group of Chicago politicians offers you a shoe it usually is made of cement. If we let the progressive wing of the Democrat party get their way we will be fitted with cement shoes and we will be sent to the bottom of the lake.

Today marks the 28th anniversary of Ronald Reagan's tax cuts. That set in motion a top marginal rate reduction from 70% to 50% and then to 28%. It spurned a generation of Americans who grew the economy and created jobs. That is the difference between these two presidents.

At the end of the term a President becomes just another citizen. We do not have to respect the man in as much as we need to respect the office. We need to respect the traditions and the honor of the office. A president must respect the same thing and that is ensuring that our liberty is protected. The health of our nation is reflected in the health of our liberty.

Say no to reductions in your liberty and no to the cement shoes!

Tomorrow I will have a quote about Liberty and Tyranny.
